Aims and objectives

  • Provide patients with a standard of care we would expect to receive ourselves.

Experience

Graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Dundee and completed foundation training. Extensive experience in general and private dentistry with ongoing CPD. As Principal Dentist across multiple sites, oversees clinical excellence, mentors dentists, and works closely with the in-house dental laboratory to deliver bespoke, high-quality treatment.

Services, treatments and facilities

  • Private dental care.
  • Sedation and short-term orthodontics for patients over 18.
  • Private capitation scheme (over 18s) administered by Practice Plan.
  • Modified ground-floor premises with two surgeries and wheelchair access.
  • Each surgery equipped with an intra-oral radiography unit.
  • Referral for specialist treatments we do not provide.

We invite verbal and written feedback from patients. Patient questionnaires are used to help shape treatment provision.

Early appointments prior to 9am and weekend appointments are available on request. Advice for patients seeking emergency treatment out of hours is provided on the practice answerphone and on notices outside the practice. Out-of-hours number: 07397 901 567.

Out-of-hours calls are triaged by our call handler Seren Cartwright over weekends and bank holidays. Dentists are available for call-outs on weekends and bank holidays where appropriate.

Complaints

We always aim to have satisfied patients and consistently meet the expectations of the people we care for. When complaints arise we resolve them promptly and fairly, treating every concern with confidentiality and respect.

To raise a complaint, please speak to a member of staff at reception. You will be directed to our Group Manager, Emily Brown, who oversees all complaint handling. Complaints can be made in person, by phone, or by email to jtpdlimited@gmail.com (FAO Emily Brown).

We acknowledge complaints within two working days and aim to resolve them within ten working days. If the investigation is likely to take longer we will let you know, giving reasons for the delay. You will be given the findings of our investigation and invited to a meeting to discuss options for resolution.

All staff are trained on their responsibilities for safeguarding patient privacy and keeping information secure, in line with current legislation:

  • No personal information given or received in confidence is passed on without the prior consent of the information provider.
  • No personal information given for one purpose is used for another without prior consent.
  • Patients are entitled to object to the use of their confidential information for any purpose other than their care.
  • The duty of confidentiality to deceased patients is treated in the same way as that of living patients.
  • The rules of disclosure are strictly followed every time information is passed to another person or organisation.
