Modern root canal treatment to save a painful or infected tooth. Magnification, rubber dam and rotary instruments make it faster and more comfortable than the old horror stories.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed nerve tissue from inside a tooth, disinfects the canals, and seals them to prevent further infection. Where possible we'd always rather save your natural tooth than extract it — extraction leaves a gap that costs more to restore later with an implant, bridge or denture. Back teeth normally need a crown afterwards to stop them cracking under everyday biting forces.
We identify the source of the pain or infection and confirm root canal is the right treatment.
The tooth is numbed and isolated with a rubber dam to keep the area clean and dry throughout.
Infected tissue is removed from the canals, which are disinfected, shaped and sealed.
Back teeth are usually crowned afterwards to protect them from cracking under normal biting forces.
We hate hidden fees as much as you do. Every plan is written down in full — you'll never get a surprise invoice at reception.
Premolar £700, molar £850. Crown afterwards is quoted and charged separately.

Where possible, keep the tooth. Extraction leaves a gap that costs more to restore (implant, bridge or denture).
